Maritime deck equipment.

MDO designs a wide range of deck equipment for maritime applications. All systems are engineered in-house, from concept development and detailed design to strength calculations and class approval support. Solutions can be provided in accordance with applicable LSA and classification requirements.

Davits

Fixed, gravity and electro-hydraulically operated davits for lifeboats, rescue boats and other survival craft. Where space is limited, combined davits can handle multiple craft from a single installation. All systems are tailored to the operational requirements of the vessel and its crew.

Traditional gravity davits provide reliable launching without external power, even at heights exceeding 60 meters.

Compact hydraulically operated davits designed for controlled deployment and recovery where installation space is limited, including enclosed hangars and sheltered launching areas.

Fast rescue

Fast rescue boat davits can be configured with wave compensation, shock absorption and stabilization systems to support safe launch and recovery operations in demanding sea conditions.

Cranes

Directly or remotely operated deck cranes for a variety of applications on vessels, offshore installations and port facilities. Designs range from compact service cranes for routine onboard handling to specialized systems for offshore installations and hazardous areas. Depending on operational requirements, cranes can be integrated with launching arrangements, dedicated hydraulic power units or explosion-proof equipment.

Hose handling cranes with a dedicated external HPU or powered by the vessel’s hydraulic system.

Telescopic davits

Telescopic side davits and stern-mounted launch and recovery systems for lifeboats, tender boats, work boats and specialized payloads. The davit extends for deployment and recovery and retracts for compact stowage. Hydraulic and wire-rope mechanisms can be combined to achieve lightweight solutions tailored to specific operational requirements.
